Welcome to the Livingston Conservation And Sports Association!

Our club is located on 60+ acres in the heart of Livingston County, Michigan. We offer both indoor and outdoor archery facilities, a 50,100 and 200 yard rifle range, a trap and shotgun range, and a handgun shooting range including six IDPA pistol ranges. We are located at 8532 McClements Road, Brighton, MI, 48114 and our Clubhouse phone number is (810) 227-2917.

Our certified instructors offer various training classes, such as NRA Basic Pistol and Personal Protection, Rifle, Shotgun, Reloading, Range Safety Officer, Hunter Safety and Certified Instructor.

Please stay and browse our website and come meet us in person at our monthly membership meetings or at various events held at the club throughout the year.

Check our calendar for current events and our membership meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at the LC & SA Clubhouse.

If you are an existing member of LC & SA, please register . Registration allows you to access many portions of the website available only to LC & SA members.

Kids Day 2012

KIDS DAY is Saturday June 2nd, 2012. 10:00 am till 3:00 pm

We would like to encourage everyone to Invite your friends and family members.

Activities for the kids include.

Casting
Archery
Light Rifle
Shotgun
Muzzle loaders

There will be plenty of demonstrations that are both fun and educational for kids and adults.

Food is provided at no cost for the kids. Adults are asked for a small donation.

Volunteers are needed for setup on Friday as well as for the event on Saturday.

Work hours are doubled. If you work 8 hours we will credit for 16.

Friday volunteer are needed between 10:00 am until we're done.

Saturday volunteers are needed between 8:00 and 5:00 (Breakfast is served around 8:00)

Adult Archery Development Program

If you are eighteen years or older, beginner or expert, and want to improve your archery skills, come join us and shoot at the Summer AADP (Adult Archery Development Program) class.

Registration: Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.

We will shoot outside every Wednesday evening, weather permitting. Shooting starts at 6:00 p.m. sharp!

Cost: $5.00/day.

This class is a lot of fun with a whole bunch of learning to go with it!!

NRA Light Rifle Qualification Program

If you enjoy shooting over-the-counter field and sporter rimfire rifles, then the NRA Light Rifle Qualification Program is for you!

Using your favorite field and sporting rifle, you can develop marksmanship skills, progress through a series of ratings, and earn distinctive NRA Light Rifle Qualification rating awards (patch and rockers shown on left).

The program is open to both members and non-members. Participants (non-members) ages 6 through 17 are required to become Junior Members (Article VII, Sec. 1c) of LCSA.

Program Duration: Thursday evenings, May 3, 2012 through September 27, 2012 - 6:00 p.m. Walk-in registration starts at 5:30 p.m. Please plan to come early for registration and orientation so we can start the program on time.

We are using the East pistol range for this program. Drive all the way back and then stay left to the top of the hill.

We will shoot each Thursday evening 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. through the last week in September. We will not shoot on evenings if it rains/lightning and will notify folks via email if we have your address on file.

2012 Pistol League

Introduction

Welcome to the 2012 LC&SA Pistol League. All shooters are welcome – both members and non-members. We meet the first and third Wednesdays from May through October. Sign-in is at 5:30 p.m. at the pistol range. Both new and experienced shooters are invited. You are encouraged to bring your spouse, neighbor, and/or a friend.

What we do

The Pistol League at LC&SA is intended for shooters who wish to become more proficient with their handguns. Courses of fire are made up of a number of 'strings' requiring 8 to 18 rounds to be fired. The strings of fire involve engaging silhouette targets from close range (as close as 3 yards) to more challenging distances (up to 25 yards) and include strong-hand only, support-hand only, and various firing positions, including firing from behind cover. All strings of fire are timed. The strings are 'revolver neutral' which means that all firearms are loaded with a maximum of six rounds. Therefore, a minimum of three speed loaders or magazine are necessary. Targets are scored and standings are maintained. An awards banquet will be held at the end of the shooting season.

NRA American Rifleman Qualification

We are starting an American Rifle Qualification program at LC & SA this season (May through September, 2012)!
The program is held on alternate Sundays (check club calendar for actual dates) at 11:00 a.m., plan on arriving at least a half hour early. Please register online to assist us prepare for the program.

So, what do you need to get started?
Here is a great article on the Roslyn Rifle and Revolver Club website that explains the basics. This will be a brand new experience for most at the club, so come on out, share the learnings and make this new program a success!
