- In the event of any serious injury, call 911.
- Identify the address as Livingston Conservation & Sports Association. 8532 McClements Road, Brighton, MI 48116.
- Send someone to the main gate to guide responders to the accident.
- If qualified, administer first aid.First Aid Kits are located in the Club House TV cabinet, Trap House and Pistol Barn.
- Identity witnesses.
- Notity one of the officers listed at the top of the page.
Violation of these and/or the range specific procedures or any unsportsmanlike like conduct can result in the temporary or permanent loss of membership.
SAFETY IS THE FIRST CONSIDERATION IN USING FIRING RANGES
- EYE AND HEARING PROTECTION IS MANDATORY.
- ALWAYS KEEP THE MUZZLE POINTED IN A SAFE DiRECTION.
- ALWAYS KEEP FINGER OUT OF TRIGGER GUARD UNTIL ACTUALLY FIRING A SHOT.
- ALWAYS KEEP FIREARMS UNLOADED UNTIL ON THE FIRING LINE AND THE COMMAND IS GIVEN TO COMMENCE FIRING.
- NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MAY BE CONSUMED PRIOR TO OR DURING FIRING. NO DRUGS, PRESCRIPTION OR CONSUMER MEDICATIONS MAY BE TAKEN PRIOR TO OR DURING FIRING THAT COULD RENDER THE SHOOTER UNSAFE.
Rifle Range Rules
- All Federal, State and Local firearm laws must be obeyed.
- All firearms not on the firing line must be unloaded with the actions opened or encased.
- Food, beverages and smoking are prohibited on the range.
- Rifles up to 50 BMG may be fired.
- No fully automatic fire or rapid fire unless pre-approved by the Board of Directors
- All firing will be aimed shots.
- Tracer, armor piercing and steel core ammunition is prohibited
- Commands issued by the Range Safety Officer and Range Personnel must be obeyed immediately without question.
- When the line is declared “CLEAR” All firearms will be made safe, actions open, muzzles pointed down range, shooters behind the line.
- No firearm may be handled while the line is clear or anyone is down range.
- Only paper targets may be used.
- Police your brass, targets, and put all trash in the trash barrels when finished shooting.
- Everyone on the range, shooters and spectators must wear eye and ear protection.
Pistol Range
Authorized firearms and ammunition.
- All handguns chambered for pistol cartridges and .22 rifles, may be used.
- Rifles chambered for pistol cartridges may be used.
- Fully automatic firearms may be used provided the owner can produce all the necessary federal licenses.
- Steel or other reactive targets may only be used in the 5 west bays and require prior, written approval from a CRSO.
- Firing points on the west bays should be within the individual bay.
- Firing points up to 50 yrds. may be used on the east range only.
Shotgun Range
Authorized firearms and ammunition.
- All shotguns 12 Gage or less. No 10 Gage.
- Low Brass, #7 shot or smaller, NO Magnum rounds.
- Do not readjust fixed clay/rabbit throwers.
- Fire only between orange poles.
- Fire only from designated firing points.
- The autornatic trap machine is available only during leagues or official league practice or by special, prior arrangement.
